For more of my work and updates about Remember, Apollo, catch me on twitter @AdamCYounis

Created for Ludum Dare 46. In Remember, Apollo, you play as a hunter struggling to recount a critical moment in his recent past. Fling from memory to memory with your trusty bow, as Apollo relives that fateful day in challenging yet approachable action platforming akin to the likes of Angry Birds, Jump King and Celeste.

Controls are simple, just click and drag anywhere on the screen to pull on the bow and release to launch.

Update 1.01 - Fixed a bug where flinging directly through a memory fragment at high speeds would cause the player to pass through it.

I made this game in just 48 hours. If you like the game, let me know! I'd be interested in releasing a similar title like this on Android and iOS one day. If you participated in Ludum Dare, you can rate my game for the contest here https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/46/remember-apollo

I couldn't resist to play entirely this game. Great idea!

Great idea, great execution, just a little bit hard to keep track where you haven't been yet. Really awesome jam game

Fantastic presentation, and I was intrigued by the story. I got stuck in the "but I wonder if she keeps secrets from me" spot (next to "I don't keep secrets from my beloved") and couldn't get out, which I guess has some amusing symbolism. I wondered if Esc would bring up a menu and found it softlocks/quits the game. Oops.

It'd be unfair to expect fixes to a 3 year old LD entry, so let this just be a note to future players :P

Amazing game, very difficult to explain and describe but i will try my best:
I love the old fairy tale "druidic" feeling it has to it very mystical and magical and high on fantasy

the gameplay for me atleast feels new and i haven't played something like this in a long time unless it was " cut the rope "

I also loved the minimalism in your game even in the background art, the details are minimum once you think about it but very beautiful and effective

I love the dialogue/internal monologue the character talks after every each shot, every shot chasing the deer felt like a dreamlike experience, makes me wish there was some sort of voice acting, but since this was a very limited game with limited time to make, this is beyond good, the entire game felt like a very beautiful lucid dream that you get once in a three months or years.
Amazing job Adam.

Hearttaking story, nice little pieces on each step, love that fog revealing. Visual and sound great as always!

Seems like it would make a great phone game! Any plans to release an Android version?

I got stuck in an endless loop, and couldn't finish the game. The background was also very dark so I couldn't make out the level and where I could go.

excellent game. came here after watching some of your pixel art tutorials on youtube and getting recommended the video of you making this one -- really fun to play and loved to see your process on it too.

Such a simple, brilliant idea. Now I have to play all your games! Thanks Obama!

This was great. I watched the YouTube stream of this creation. I really enjoyed watching it (and playing it). Thanks!

I almost cried

I like how you took the story directly from mythology but interpreted it in your own way. Very nice!

Wonderful game!! Love all the meandering directions a lot!! It really gives it the unreliable narrative feel to the game. The ending was chilling...

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! Q - Q Wonderful.

Awesome work. I cried at the end.

No....

....

My beloved...

no......

this was a really poignant little game. I love the mechanic. I got lost in the memories, sometimes. I love the way the background lights up. I wonder if I hit the stag at another time if I would've had another ending?

Hi, i liked the aestetic and the simple way the mecanic was presented at de begining, the feeling of releasing the archer was nice also. About the story i have a question. Was him in shock and the game was he traying to recover from that? or was him in the future incapable of forgiving himself and going through the same day over and over, or something else. Short and sweet.

Hello, nice game, nice graphics. im a programmer looking for a graphic designer or a team to join and maybe work on new games, are you interested?

Can you add a link to your ludum dare page here, I would like to be able to rate the game after I play it. :)

^I want to rate this game too. Fun idea and I like how u handled reaching the last room.

Here's the link: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/46/remember-apollo

Hi, very cool game! I got the last room and saw "My beloved". Does that mean I pass the game? I can not ensure it because I bounced to the beginning from that room.

Here you go! added in the description also: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/46/remember-apollo
